Our Maroussia - Russian Blue (International Champion)
International Champion - MAROUSSIA MILOSLAVSKAIA | "Blue Russians are humble and pleasant and are the kings of the “cocooning”."
They are only happy in a harmonious family, because do not support arguments.
They are generally timid with the guests, but infinitely cuddly with their Masters.
They live very well in the apartments, but like to remain on the balcony with the sun in summer. |
| In winter, in spite of their Russian origins, the Blue Russians adore the radiators, (which is very bad for their fur, which becomes dull and dry). |

"Maroussia fait ses gammes ..." | Provide you with patience and discipline without fault in education of your animal, without what the expected results will never come.
The best example is in my view the bed, the small tenderising ball of hair will be huddle up against you every evening and every evening it will be necessary to move the ball in question in its basket. This should be repeated for 2-3 month without ever yielding, without what your bed will be covered with grey hair. |

"Maroussia is singing ..." | It is often said that the Russian Blue females have a small voice, and this is regarded as a defect of this race.
However, we cannot absolutely feel sorry for us of this " defect ", our dear Maroussia being probably the downward one of " Russian Bleu - Callas ". Its voice is very powerful.
Whereas it was only one kitten, we brought back it from Moscow in the plane and must go down from this last by the trap door. The engines were still works from there and we did not intend ourselves to speak, but a howl came from the basket where was our new kitten... this noise, they were "mewings " of our small Maroussia then 3 months old and dissatisfied with all this disruption.
This is not the case of all the Blue Russians, and small Svetlana has a voice that one hardly hears in silence.

Maroussia has a perfect EUROPEAN type.
European types of Russian Blue are larger and more solid that the American ones (that are finer). The latter have a clearer color and less high legs.
The profile is right and the eyes often rounder and less green. The crossing of the two types is interesting for qualities that each one can bring to the other. |

| The Blue Russians have a very developed hunter instinct. In our apartment no fly, mosquito or butterfly survive more than few minutes.
Twice per day the Blue Russians have their moment of total unwinding. They run in the entire house, jumping over the " barriers ", like horses, then stop a few minutes, to start their drive again.
This gymnastics is essential and we support these activities by playing every evening with our animals in these moments of intense activity.
I think if an animal is sluggish and fat, it is mainly the fault of the Masters, who do not play with their companion, whereas these plays represent a physical activity essential to its good health.

| With time I noticed that Maroussia became more confident, especially once she had babies. She is very gentle with our friends, visitors and even show judges. She is not shy as most of Russian Blue and I noticed that she educates her babies the same way, most of them are talkative, self confident and balanced cats. |
